I understand your anger .. but I don't think this is something to get reported in my opinion.. he/she killed you and got a Karma state (losing not only fame but also def stats.. ). It is a playable feature, not very friendly and fair play, but it is something that can happen in MH. He also could have over damage the boss and steal the reword ... still a game feature; but probably he realized that only by killing you, he/she could get the drop... probably waited in hide till you lowered the boss xD

As long as the rules do not prohibit Ks/pk/stealing or whatever it may be , there can't be consequences.
On top of everything its a game feature no matter how bad it may look
