If you want gold to be usefull, or if you think there is too much gold in the game - then make FAD  FASR and other pots avaiable to buy from NPC for the gold. 

FAD FASR / ETC. - 1KG each 

Speedy - 2-3kg
Pet - 2kg 
Exp tags and drop boost - 1-2kg each. 

But this is gonna ruin donate system, the game needs more interesting items.
